AZ HCR2014

Proposes a new Section 38 to be added to Article II of the Arizona Constitution establishing a constitutional right for citizens to hunt, fish, and harvest wildlife lawfully.

Vests exclusive authority to regulate hunting, fishing, and wildlife harvesting methods and seasons in the state legislature, which may delegate rulemaking to a game and fish commission.

Prohibits laws or rules that unreasonably restrict hunting, fishing, harvesting wildlife, or the use of traditional means and methods, with regulations limited to wildlife conservation and management purposes.

Establishes lawful public hunting and fishing as a preferred method of wildlife management and control.

Requires the Secretary of State to submit the proposed constitutional amendment to voters at the next general election for approval.
