Transfers authority for the mining and mineral museum from the Arizona Historical Society to the Arizona Geological Survey within the University of Arizona system.

Authorizes the state geologist to establish entrance fees for museum visitors 18 years or older, operate a retail gift shop selling mineral specimens, employ a curator, and pay museum maintenance and operating expenses.

Creates a separate account within the geological survey fund consisting of monies from museum entrance fees and gift shop operations to be used exclusively for museum maintenance and operations.

Removes the state geologist position from the centennial museum advisory council and eliminates provisions requiring the centennial museum to house the mining and mineral museum.

Removes references to the mining and mineral museum from centennial museum statutes and clarifies that the Arizona Historical Society's centennial museum duties are separate from mining and mineral museum operations.
