AZ SB1034

Adds section 36-2903.09 to Arizona Revised Statutes requiring AHCCCS contractors to intervene if a member seeks care at a hospital emergency department four or more times in a six-month period for purposes of educating the member on proper emergency service use.

Requires contractors to report to the AHCCCS administration the number of times they intervene with members under this section in a manner prescribed by the administration.

Became effective upon approval by the Governor on March 23, 2015.
