AZ SB1125

Amends Arizona Revised Statutes Section 15-301 to expand eligibility requirements for county school superintendent candidates.

Allows persons holding either a basic or standard teaching certificate OR an administrative certificate issued by the state board of education or department of education to be eligible for election as county school superintendent.

Maintains existing provisions regarding reimbursement of travel expenses for county school superintendents and designates the office as a local education agency eligible to receive and spend local, state, and federal funds.

Preserves the requirement that the office of county school superintendent remains under the jurisdiction of the elected county school superintendent.
