AZ SB1250

Changes the name of the "Indian Affairs Commission" to the "Arizona Commission of Native American Affairs" throughout Arizona Revised Statutes sections 41-541 through 41-545.

Replaces the term "Indian" with "Native American" in all references to people, tribes, organizations, and related programs and activities in the commission's statutory authority and duties.

Maintains all existing commission functions, including appointing members from state agencies and tribal representatives, assembling information, making recommendations to the governor and legislature, and coordinating with other governmental units on Native American needs.

Establishes and preserves two dedicated funds: the Native American Affairs Commission Publications Fund and the Arizona Native American Town Hall Fund, both supported by fees collected from respective activities.

Requires legislative council staff to prepare conforming legislation for the next legislative session and conditional constitutional amendments contingent on federal legislation amending the 1910 Enabling Act to use "Native American" terminology, while preserving references to federal laws and agencies that use "Indian" in their official names.
