Amends Arizona Revised Statutes Section 13-3102 to add a new subsection A, paragraph 17 making it a class 4 felony for a prohibited possessor to attempt to possess a deadly weapon or prohibited weapon.

Defines the offense as applying to individuals who are prohibited possessors under Section 13-3101, subsection A, paragraph 7, subdivision (b), which includes convicted felons.

Classifies the attempted weapon possession offense the same as actual possession of weapons by prohibited possessors under existing law.

Makes technical edits to existing weapon misconduct statutes to incorporate the new attempted possession provision into the criminal classification scheme.
