Amends statutes 41-1279.03 and 41-1279.04 to expand auditor general authority to include charter schools in addition to school districts for performance audits and monitoring.

Requires auditor general to conduct performance audits of charter schools to determine the percentage of every dollar spent in the classroom and ensure compliance with structured English immersion and compensatory instruction fund requirements.

Grants auditor general authority to attend executive sessions of charter school governing bodies for purposes of conducting audits and investigations.

Authorizes auditor general to examine all books, accounts, records, and property of charter schools in the same manner as school districts when performing official duties.

Establishes same reporting and implementation requirements for charter schools as school districts, including written status reports every six months for two years following audit completion.
