School district governing boards and charter school governing bodies must adopt policies and procedures to address sexual abuse of children.

Policies may include age-appropriate curricula for preschool through fifth grade, staff training on recognizing abuse, parent education on warning signs, counseling resources for affected students, and methods to increase awareness of child sexual abuse.

Establishes a task force on the prevention of sexual abuse of children consisting of state legislators, public members, and representatives from child safety, education, health services, law enforcement, and child abuse prevention organizations.

Task force must gather information on child sexual abuse statewide and submit findings and recommendations to state leadership by December 15, 2016.

Task force is repealed on December 31, 2016.
