Commends Cochise College on its 50th anniversary, celebrating its establishment in 1961 and opening to students on September 21, 1964 as one of Arizona's first community colleges.

Recognizes Cochise College's role in providing accessible higher education and economic opportunity to Cochise County residents over five decades through degrees, certificates, and workforce training.

Acknowledges the college's service to approximately 14,000 students annually through multiple campuses in Douglas and Sierra Vista, a virtual campus, and centers in Benson, Willcox, Nogales, and Fort Huachuca.

Honors the college's commitment to student-centered education, maintaining focus on student success and completion while serving as a resource for local employers and a catalyst for economic mobility.

Adopted unanimously by both the Arizona Senate and House on February 5, 2015.
