Allows trademark and trade name registration applications to be submitted online through the Secretary of State's website, in addition to paper forms.

Removes requirement that applications must be submitted "on a form to be furnished by the secretary of state" and allows submission on the secretary of state's website instead.

Permits trademark registration renewal applications to be submitted online or on paper forms, with renewal applications accepted within six months before expiration.

Allows trade name registration renewal applications to be submitted online or on paper forms, with renewal applications accepted within six months before expiration.

Effective December 31, 2016.
