Amends Arizona Revised Statutes Section 20-448.02 to clarify that a person shall not order or require genetic testing without first receiving specific written informed consent from the subject or an authorized representative.

Results of genetic tests are privileged and confidential and may not be released to any party without the express consent of the subject of the test or the person authorized by law to consent.

Defines "gene products" as gene fragments, nucleic acids or proteins derived from DNA that reflect or indicate DNA sequence information.

Defines "genetic test" as analysis of DNA, gene products or chromosomes that indicates propensity for illness, disease, impairment or disorders; demonstrates genetic or chromosomal damage from environmental factors; or indicates carrier status for disease or disorder.

Became effective upon Governor's approval on March 17, 2016.
