Amends the definition of "gift" in Arizona Revised Statutes section 38-541 to exclude travel-related expenses that are publicly reported and political campaign contributions that are publicly reported.

Adds new definition of "travel-related expenses" to mean costs associated with transportation, food, lodging, registration fees, and other expenses directly related to travel for meetings, conferences, or events where a public officer participates in an official capacity.

Requires public officers to disclose in their financial disclosure statements the name of each meeting, conference, or other event where they participate in an official capacity if travel-related expenses of $1,000 or more were incurred on their behalf and not paid by the officer.

Effective December 31, 2016.
