Prohibits funeral directors and embalmers from holding a direct pecuniary or proprietary interest in a procurement organization, though reasonable payments for preparation, transportation, preservation, storage and delivery of human remains are permitted.

Prohibits funeral establishment owners or operators from influencing employees to direct human remains to a procurement organization in which the owner or operator has a financial interest.

Prohibits a procurement organization and funeral establishment from operating on the same premises.

Establishes that violations of these provisions constitute a class 2 misdemeanor unless another penalty is specifically provided by law.
