Modifies ignition interlock device requirements for DUI convictions by restricting mandatory installation to violations involving intoxicating liquor, allowing courts discretion to order devices for drug-related DUI violations.

Removes mandatory revocation of driver's license for violations of section 28-1381 subsection A, paragraph 3 (driving with drugs in system) from the list of convictions requiring automatic license revocation.

Allows courts to order ignition interlock devices for drug-related DUI convictions but makes such orders discretionary rather than automatic, with department enforcement upon certification of court requirement.

Renumbers mandatory license revocation grounds in section 28-3304 due to removal of the drug-specific DUI provision, consolidating enumerated offenses from 13 to 12 paragraphs.

Effective December 31, 2016.
