School districts must provide written notice to the governing boards of all joint technical education districts (JTEDs) before selling or leasing any vacant and unused building or portion of a building.

School districts are prohibited from negotiating to sell or lease the property with any potential buyer or lessee other than a joint district for the first 90 days after providing notice.

This requirement applies to all JTEDs in Arizona regardless of whether they are directly affected by the specific property being offered.
