AZ HCR2004

Proposes an amendment to Article IV, Part 2, Section 4 of the Arizona Constitution regarding qualifications for membership in the legislature.

Removes references to "justice of the peace" and "postmaster of the fourth class" as exceptions to the disqualification rule for holding public office.

Clarifies that only appointments in the state militia, offices of notary public, and United States commissioner shall not disqualify a person from serving in the legislature.

Requires the Secretary of State to submit the proposition to voters at the next general election for approval.
