SB 1043 Summary

• Repeals section 41-3016.09 of the Arizona Revised Statutes and adds new section 41-3024.09 to address state personnel board continuation.

• Establishes that the state personnel board terminates on July 1, 2024, with Title 41, chapter 4, article 6 repealed on January 1, 2025.

• Continues the state personnel board to hear and review appeals relating to personnel actions against state employees, including dismissals, suspensions exceeding 40 hours, and demotions from disciplinary actions.

• Makes sections 1 and 2 of the act effective retroactively to July 1, 2016.
