Requires all school districts and charter schools to provide at least one hour of interactive computer instruction to students in grades 4-12 at least once during their enrollment.

Instruction must focus on reading, understanding, and writing computer code and be offered by a nationally recognized nonprofit organization devoted to expanding access to computer science.

Students with disabilities may be exempted by their Individualized Education Program (IEP) team, and parents may request exemption if their child previously received comparable instruction.

School districts and charter schools may apply to the superintendent of public instruction for a full or partial waiver if they lack sufficient computer infrastructure to comply with the requirement.
