Directs law enforcement to notify the court within 24 hours if they do not receive firearms or an affidavit, and authorizes the agency to request a search warrant for the person's home and vehicle.

Expands firearm seizure provisions in domestic violence protection orders to include a requirement that law enforcement request a search warrant if a firearm is not transferred within 24 hours of service.

Allows law enforcement to return seized firearms to the owner after the protection order expires or is dismissed, unless the person is prohibited from possessing firearms under state or federal law.

Makes technical corrections to existing domestic violence statutes, including clarifying language regarding temporary firearm seizure and requiring victim notification before firearm release.
