Raises the compulsory school attendance age from 16 to 18 years old, requiring children at least 6 and under 18 years of age to attend school.

Updates high school equivalency diploma eligibility requirements to require applicants be at least 18 years old instead of 16 years old.

Increases the minimum age at which children can be employed while excused from school attendance from 14 years old to 16 years old.

Applies the higher compulsory attendance age to all related statutes governing school attendance, truancy, and attendance officer enforcement.
