Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 41-2404 to add two attorneys who practice primarily in criminal defense to the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission, appointed by the governor.

The commission now consists of 17 members total, including state officials (attorney general, director of public safety, director of corrections, administrative director of courts, chairman of board of executive clemency) and 14 appointed members plus 2 criminal defense attorneys.

Criminal defense attorney appointees serve two-year terms terminating on the convening of the first regular session of the legislature, with the same appointment procedures as other appointive members.

Initial terms for the two new criminal defense attorney positions are staggered, with one term ending January 9, 2017 and one term ending January 8, 2018.

The governor shall make all subsequent appointments to the criminal defense attorney positions according to statute.
