• Establishes a three-year Arizona community schools pilot program in the governor's office to assist public middle schools and junior high schools in developing community school plans.

• Awards three-year grants to eligible schools of up to $60,000 annually for a community school coordinator salary and benefits, plus $25,000 annually for developing and implementing a community school plan.

• Requires participating schools to establish a school-community partnership team and partner with a community-based organization, and to develop a plan for sustaining the program beyond the pilot period.

• Creates a state tax credit of up to $50,000 per taxable year for voluntary cash contributions to fund the pilot program for tax years 2016, 2017, and 2018, with ability to carry forward unused credits for up to five years.

• The pilot program and tax credit provisions expire December 31, 2019.
