Honors the Honorable William A. "Tony" West, Jr., who passed away on January 14, 2016, at age 78.

Recognizes West's 16 years of service in the Arizona Legislature (five terms in the House and three terms in the Senate), serving in leadership roles including chairman of Banking and Insurance, Insurance/Retirement/Aging, and Ways and Means committees.

Acknowledges West's additional public service as Arizona State Treasurer for eight years and Arizona Corporation Commissioner, including his 1992 selection as a Henry Toll Fellow by the Council of State Governments.

Highlights West's legislative accomplishments including anticrime bills, programs for the hearing-impaired, county sports authorities, crime victim compensation funding, and mandatory sentencing for drug crimes involving minors.

Extends the Legislature's deepest sympathies to West's widow Margaret, three sons, and five grandchildren, and posthumously honors him for his selfless service and dedication to Arizona.
