Amends section 38-711 of the Arizona Revised Statutes regarding definitions used in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS).

Adds a new subdivision (g) to the definition of "member" that excludes employees of political subdivision entities who are hired on or after the effective date of this amendment.

Corrects the definition of "political subdivision entity" by changing "government related" to "government-related" as a hyphenated term.

Clarifies membership eligibility in ASRS by preventing newly hired employees of political subdivision entities from automatically becoming members of the retirement system.
