AZ HB2025

Repeals the old "fire fighters and emergency paramedics memorial board" and establishes a new "Arizona fallen firefighter memorial committee" with 8 members including the president of the state's largest professional firefighters organization as chairperson, state forester, historical advisory commission director, department of administration director, and others.

Authorizes the committee to establish standards for memorializing fallen firefighters on the Arizona fallen firefighter memorial located in Wesley Bolin plaza, determine eligible persons, and maintain the memorial annually.

Requires the committee to conduct an annual fallen firefighter memorial service and determine eligibility for tuition waiver scholarships under section 15-1808 for children and spouses of firefighters killed in the line of duty.

Establishes the Arizona fallen firefighter memorial fund to receive donations and pay authorized expenses, with investment earnings credited to the fund and monies exempt from lapsing appropriations.

Terminates the committee on July 1, 2027, with the entire article and related statutes repealed on January 1, 2028.
