HB 2029 Summary

• Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 36-2804 to add provisions allowing nonprofit medical marijuana dispensaries to change their physical location after initial registration.

• A dispensary or cultivation site may only relocate to another location within the same community health analysis area as established by the department when the original registration certificate was issued.

• Any new location for a relocated dispensary must comply with all other requirements applicable to new dispensaries.

• Requires a three-fourths affirmative vote of both houses of the legislature for this amendment to become effective, pursuant to Arizona Constitution article IV, part 1, section 1.
