Amends Arizona Revised Statutes Section 11-588 to modify the state aid to indigent defense fund, which provides funding to county public defenders, legal defenders, and contract indigent defense counsel for processing criminal cases.

Changes the fund's purpose from general state aid to exclusively supplementing (not replacing) county funding levels established in fiscal year 1997-1998 for criminal case processing.

Replaces the term "allocate" with "distribute" when describing how the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission shall disburse monies to counties each fiscal year pursuant to Section 41-2409, subsection C.

Maintains existing provisions that monies earned from investment of fund assets are credited back to the fund and that state general fund appropriations may be spent without further legislative appropriation.
