Adds an affirmative defense to aggravated DUI charges under subsection A, paragraph 1, allowing defendants to claim they did not know their driver license was suspended, canceled, revoked, or refused.

Renumbers existing statutory provisions (subsections M and N become N and O) to accommodate the new affirmative defense language.

Applies to cases where a person commits a DUI violation while their driving privilege is suspended, canceled, revoked, or refused due to a prior DUI conviction.

Maintains all existing penalties for aggravated DUI convictions, including mandatory prison time, fines, assessments, and ignition interlock device requirements.
