HB 2341 Summary

• Licenses, certificates, and registrations issued under Arizona law do not expire while a member of the Arizona National Guard, United States Armed Forces Reserves, or regular component of the United States Armed Forces is serving on federal active duty.

• Licenses, certificates, and registrations are automatically extended 180 days after a military member returns from federal active duty, provided the member or legal representative notifies the issuing authority with military orders, a redacted military ID, or written verification from a commanding officer.

• Military members injured during active duty that prevents them from performing licensed activities receive a 180-day extension from when they are able to resume those activities after being released from active duty.

• Renewals during extended periods are subject only to normal fees and renewal activities, with no late fees or delinquency fees charged.

• The extension provisions do not apply to licenses under Chapter 10 if someone other than the military member is authorized to renew, and Chapter 36 appraisal licenses are placed in active status for 90 days instead of 180 days.
