Registry identification cards for registered qualifying patients expire five years after issuance, while cards for nonprofit marijuana dispensaries and designated caregivers expire one year after issuance.

Nonprofit medical marijuana dispensary agent cards must be cancelled and access to the verification system deactivated when the department is notified that the agent is no longer employed by or volunteering at the dispensary.

Renewal registration certificates for nonprofit medical marijuana dispensaries must be issued within ten days of receiving the renewal application and fee, provided the certificate is not under suspension or revoked.

Cardholders who lose their registry identification card must notify the department and may obtain a replacement card with a new random identification number within five days upon payment of a ten dollar fee.

The bill requires approval by at least three-fourths vote of both houses of the legislature to take effect.
