School principals must notify parents on the 15th, 30th, 60th, and 90th consecutive days when a substitute teacher provides instruction in a classroom or course.

Substitute teacher is defined as a person who either lacks a state board of education certificate or holds a substitute or emergency substitute certificate issued by the state board of education.

Notification requirement applies to parents of pupils assigned to the classroom or enrolled in the course where substitute instruction is occurring.
