AZ HCR2012

Ratifies the proposed Equal Rights Amendment to the United States Constitution, which was adopted by Congress on March 22, 1972.

The amendment prohibits denial or abridgment of equality of rights under the law by the United States or any State on account of sex.

Grants Congress power to enforce the amendment's provisions through appropriate legislation.

Requires the amendment to take effect two years after the date of ratification.

Directs Arizona's Secretary of State to transmit a copy of the resolution to the President of the United States Senate and Speaker of the United States House of Representatives.
