AZ HCR2027

Proposes a constitutional amendment to Article IX, Section 25 of the Arizona Constitution limiting state tax rates and fees.

State tax or fee rates cannot exceed 99% of the lowest comparable tax or fee rate among California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, or Utah.

Exempts existing tax rates or fees that exceeded the limit as of January 1, 2019, from the restriction, but prohibits increases to those rates until compliance with the new limit is achieved.

Requires the Secretary of State to submit the proposition to voters at the next general election for approval.
