Extends the statute of limitations for filing claims of medical malpractice resulting in death of a person being treated for mental health illness from one year to 18 months against public entities or public employees.

Allows persons with claims alleging medical malpractice resulting in death during mental health treatment to file a claim within one year after the cause of action accrues, rather than the standard 180-day notice requirement.

Amends Arizona Revised Statutes sections 12-821 and 12-821.01 to create an exception for mental health malpractice death claims in both the general statute of limitations and the notice of claim filing requirements.
