SB1335 Summary

• Increases the state board of psychologist examiners from 9 to 10 members and requires at least 2 members to be behavior analysts in professional practice.

• Establishes a new committee on behavior analysts consisting of 5 licensed behavior analysts appointed by the governor, with 2 serving as board members.

• Requires the board to receive and consider recommendations from the committee on behavior analysts before taking action on matters relating to behavior analyst licensing and regulation.

• Creates a separate account in the board of psychologist examiners fund for behavior analyst licensing and regulation monies that cannot be used for psychologist licensing.

• Effective October 31, 2017.
