Establishes a joint wildfire suppression study committee consisting of 13 members including 3 House members, 3 Senate members, state forester, state land commissioner, Northern Arizona University representative, rancher/grazer organization representative, environmental conservation nonprofit representative, and 2 public members.

Committee cochairpersons must be elected from membership and cannot be from the same political party.

Committee shall study actual and economic costs of wildfire suppression and catastrophic wildfires on state and private lands, analyze costs and benefits of wildfire prevention and forest management planning, and research economic development opportunities in vegetative removal, forest products, and biomass energy industries.

Committee must submit a report of its activities, findings, and recommendations to the governor, president of the senate, and speaker of the house by December 31, 2017.

Committee is repealed effective September 30, 2018.
