Beginning September 1, 2017, applicants for expedited licensure under the medical licensure compact must submit full fingerprints to the board for state and federal criminal records checks pursuant to section 41-1750 and Public Law 92-544.

Information received from the Federal Bureau of Investigation relating to criminal records checks cannot be shared with the interstate medical licensure compact commission regarding physician eligibility verification.

Physical therapists and physical therapist assistants must obtain a valid fingerprint clearance card issued pursuant to section 41-1758.03 as a requirement for licensure or certification.

Adds the board of physical therapy to the list of agencies authorized to request fingerprint background checks through the fingerprinting division in the department of public safety.

Updates definitions and powers of the fingerprinting division to include physical therapy licensure applicants among those requiring fingerprint background checks.
