Dennis Wells is appointed as ombudsman-citizens aide for a term ending June 30, 2022, pursuant to Arizona Revised Statutes section 41-1373, subsection B.

The appointment requires approval by roll call vote of at least two-thirds of the membership of each house of the legislature and approval of the governor.

If the governor vetoes the act, the appointment requires subsequent approval by roll call vote of at least three-fourths of the membership of each house of the legislature to override the veto.

The act is designated as an emergency measure necessary to preserve public peace, health, or safety and becomes operative immediately upon passage.
