Expresses the Arizona Legislature's condolences on the death of Marian Lupu, who died on August 14, 2016, at age 91 in Tucson.

Honors Lupu's pioneering work in gerontology and her role as founding executive director of the Pima Council on Aging, which she built into a major organization serving Pima County's elderly residents.

Recognizes Lupu's national influence in the aging services field, including her attendance at four White House Conferences on Aging, status as the first Fellow of the Gerontological Society of America, and her role as President of the Western Gerontological Society from 1977-1978.

Notes that Lupu served as the longest-serving Area Agency on Aging executive director in the nation before her retirement in 2007 and later dedicated herself to ballet education for disadvantaged children through Dancing in the Streets, Arizona.

Extends the Legislature's deepest sympathies to Lupu's family and friends, including her three children and three grandchildren.
