Requires school district governing boards to develop and provide guidelines, information, and forms to inform coaches, pupils, and parents about dangers of heat-related illnesses, sudden cardiac death, and prescription opioid addiction in relation to interscholastic athletic activities.

Mandates that before participating in any district-sponsored practice session, game, or other interscholastic athletic activity, pupils and their parents must receive information at least once each school year on the risks of heat-related illnesses, sudden cardiac death, and prescription opioid addiction.

Guidelines and information forms must be developed in consultation with a statewide private entity that supervises interscholastic activities.

This requirement is added to existing policies and procedures relating to health and safety of pupils participating in district-sponsored athletic activities.
