Amends Arizona Revised Statutes Section 48-805 to allow fire districts to submit fingerprints to a joint powers authority formed pursuant to Section 48-805.01 in addition to submitting directly to the fire district.

Permits probationary employees in paid sworn firefighter, reserve firefighter, or volunteer firefighter positions to have fingerprints submitted either to the fire district or to the joint powers authority for state and federal criminal records checks.

Allows the joint powers authority to submit fingerprints to the Department of Public Safety for obtaining criminal background checks as required by law.

Takes effect immediately as an emergency measure necessary to preserve public peace, health, or safety.
