HB 2170 Summary

• Repeals section 41-3018.22, Arizona Revised Statutes, and adds new section 41-3026.22 regarding the Arizona state boxing and mixed martial arts commission.

• Sets the termination date of the Arizona state boxing and mixed martial arts commission for July 1, 2026, with title 5, chapter 2 and the new section repealing on January 1, 2027.

• Continues the Arizona state boxing and mixed martial arts commission to provide protection for all interested parties in boxing, kickboxing, and mixed martial arts sports.

• Makes sections 1 and 2 of the act effective retroactively from July 1, 2018.
