Expands age-based jury duty exemption to include persons age 70 or older who claim hardship, in addition to the existing automatic exemption for those age 75 and older.

Requires prospective jurors age 70 and older claiming hardship to submit a written statement to the court; judges or jury commissioners must excuse them upon receipt of the request.

Allows temporary or permanent excusal requests from jury duty based on age and hardship; persons excused temporarily remain eligible when the excuse expires unless permanently excused.

Maintains existing hardship exemption criteria requiring documentation such as tax returns, payroll records, medical statements, or proof of dependency to demonstrate undue or extreme physical or financial hardship.

Clarifies that medical documentation supporting hardship claims are not public records and shall not be disclosed to the general public.
