Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 49-1008 regarding closure procedures for underground storage tanks.

Changes language from "which" to "that" in describing how temporary closure, permanent closure, and change in service must be accomplished in a safe and secure manner.

Corrects reference from "40 Code of Federal Regulations parts" to "40 Code of Federal Regulations sections" 280.70 through 280.74 for interim compliance standards.

Requires the director to prescribe rules for underground storage tank closure activities that are consistent with federal regulations in effect at the time of adoption.

Until state rules are adopted, temporary closure, permanent closure, or change in service must comply with federal regulations sections 280.70 through 280.74.
