Amends Arizona Revised Statutes Section 15-154 to expand the school safety program to include facilities that receive residential vouchers pursuant to Section 15-1182, subsection E, paragraph 2, in addition to school districts and charter schools.

School districts, charter schools, and facilities may apply for school safety program grants for up to three fiscal years by submitting proposals to the department of education by April 15, with plans including law-related education programs and use of trained school resource officers or juvenile probation officers.

The department of education shall administer the program in cooperation with courts, law enforcement agencies, and law-related education providers, using crime statistics to assess needs and visiting applicants to verify information.

The department may prioritize grants to schools and facilities that have agreements to share costs of school resource officers or juvenile probation officers with law enforcement agencies or the courts.

The school safety program is scheduled to end on July 1, 2025, pursuant to sunset review provisions, and the auditor general shall include it in ongoing sunset reviews of agencies and programs.
