Amends Arizona Revised Statutes Section 15-803 regarding school attendance and excessive absences.

Changes the definition of excessive absences from "exceeding ten percent of required attendance days" to "accruing twenty-four or more days of unexcused absences during a school year."

Maintains existing provisions that children ages 6-16 must attend school during school hours unless excused, homeschooled, or accompanied by a parent.

Preserves the definition of "habitually truant" as truancy for at least five school days within a school year.
