• Requires each school district and charter school to establish a classroom teacher supply assistance account and distribute funds to classroom teachers for purchasing classroom supplies and materials

• Distributes state appropriated funds based on the total number of classroom teachers employed, with equal amounts provided to each full-time classroom teacher and prorated amounts to part-time teachers by July 15 of each year

• Allows funds to be distributed through direct deposit, check, debit card, or purchasing card, with purchases exempt from competitive bidding requirements

• Requires teachers receiving funds to sign acknowledgment forms, maintain receipts for three years, and return any unspent monies to the account at the end of the school year
