Attorney General must submit a beneficiary mitigation plan and request for mitigation funds under the Volkswagen "Clean Diesel" environmental settlement (MDL No. 2672).

All mitigation monies received by Arizona shall be used exclusively to purchase or repower class 4-8 school buses as specified in the settlement agreement.

Monies are deposited in the consumer restitution subaccount of the consumer restitution and remediation revolving fund, with the Attorney General preparing a distribution plan for school districts based on transportation needs.

Attorney General must submit the distribution plan to the joint legislative budget committee for review before distributing funds to school districts.

The act repeals one year after all mitigation monies have been distributed to school districts, with the Attorney General required to notify the legislative council of completion.
