AZ HCR2002

Proposes amending Arizona Constitution Article XVI, Section 1 to redefine the state militia composition by removing the upper age limit of 45 years.

Changes militia eligibility to include all capable citizens who are at least 18 years of age, removing the previous maximum age restriction.

Maintains existing requirements that militia members be capable of acting in concert for common defense and be either state residents or those who have declared intent to become U.S. citizens.

Preserves existing exemptions from militia service as established by U.S. federal law or Arizona state law.

Requires submission of the constitutional amendment to Arizona voters at the next general election per Article XXI of the Arizona Constitution.
