Proclaims February 28, 2018 as Alzheimer's Awareness Day in Arizona.

Recognizes that Alzheimer's disease affects more than 5 million Americans and is the fourth leading cause of death in Arizona, with a 138% increase in deaths since 2000.

Notes that someone in the United States develops Alzheimer's disease every 66 seconds and it remains the only top-ten cause of death that cannot be prevented, cured, or slowed.

Highlights that approximately 325,000 Arizona caregivers provided 370 million hours of unpaid care valued at $4.69 billion in the previous year, with many caregivers experiencing health deterioration from their responsibilities.

Acknowledges the importance of recognizing and supporting caregivers and family members in maintaining quality of life for those with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.
